How many colors make up the OLO color palette?

The initial OLO color palette features 128 vibrant, beautiful hues that span the color spectrum with an assortment of gray to allow for color range extension and depth.

Where do I start with OLO?

We offer pre-selected color assortments in 16pc, 32pc, 64pc, or 128pc colors for easy collection building. You can also utilize the filters on our Colors page to shop by Color Family or Themes. Our pre-selected themes offer a variety of 16 coordinated color palettes that work beautifully together.

Can I purchase OLO Connector Rings individually?

One OLO Connector Ring is complimentary with every two half-markers purchased. Additional Connector Rings in various colors can be bought in packs of 10 at olomarker.com.

Why are the OLO™ marker bodies different colors?

The marker bodies are usually offered in black and dark gray to help the artist quickly identify the marker nib. Brush nib markers are offered in a black marker body, and chisel nibs are offered in a dark gray marker body. The OLO ZERO (colorless solution) is available in a white marker body.

Can I use an OLO chisel nib in a black OLO brush marker body?

Marker bodies are color-coded for quick nib identification, but all OLO nib styles work with all OLO Replacement Ink Cartridges.

Will the OLO handle work with any OLO™ marker?

Yes! OLO handles are designed to work with Connector Rings and any OLO™ marker body. Experience a new way to color with an OLO handle.

What is the recommended paper for use with OLO™ markers?

Many papers will work well: marker paper, various paper stocks, drawing paper, and watercolor paper. However, we recommend papers with a smooth, uncoated finish for most color applications that allow for beautiful ink blending and minimal ink spread.

Do OLO™ markers hold as much ink as other markers?

OLO™ markers hold more ink than traditional alcohol markers! An OLO double-ended marker contains 4ml of ink—nearly two times more usable ink than any other alcohol marker.

How do I store my OLO™ markers?

OLO may be stored vertical or horizontal. Choose the orientation that works best for your workspace and needs.

What is OLO ZERO?

AKA The Blender. Calling a colorless blender a “blender” is misleading as it does not allow for traditional blending techniques. The importance of this marker is in the absence of color, hence the name ZERO. Use ZERO with OLO to dilute color, add texture or minimize mistakes.

Are OLO™ markers lightfast?

No, alcohol markers are not lightfast. We recommend keeping your artwork out of direct sunlight when possible.

Where are OLO™ markers made?

OLO™ markers are manufactured in Japan.

REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGES

Are OLO™ markers refillable?

Yes! But the process is a bit different than what you may be used to. Simply purchase a new cartridge when your OLO marker runs out of ink. Then, remove and reuse the nib and cap from your used marker and insert them into the new cartridge. That's it! No mess, no blob, no overfilling, and no clean-up.

Will the ink pour or drip when replacing the nib?

No, there should be no drips or spills when replacing the ink cartridge.

Is there a tool to pull out the nibs?

A specific tool is not needed for OLO nibs. A regular pair of tweezers- or your hands- should work just fine.

Are the OLO replacement cartridges recyclable?

Not currently. We are currently working on ways to minimize this issue.

PURCHASING/SHIPPING

Do you ship internationally?

International shipping is available. International Taxes, Duty, and Custom Brokerage fees are not included and can very often be quite costly. Please consult your country’s tax authorities for standard GST and VAT rates before purchasing.

What is the OLO Founder’s program? How do I sign up?

Unfortunately, the OLO Founder’s program is no longer available. This unique program was only available during the OLO Pre-sale event.

I am an OLO Founder. How do I log into my account on the new website?

If you signed up for an account on our presale site, your account information should still be available on our new website; however, you may be prompted to create or update your password. If you are still having issues, please contact us at hello@olomarker.com
